Multiple Approaches to Conflict Transformation

The Alliance for Conflict Transformation (ACT) is a group of like-minded individuals committed to working together to provide skills and knowledge in the area of conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Most of ACT’s members have received an intensive core-training course on conflict resolution and peacebuilding provided by the Cambodian Center for Conflict Resolution (CCCR), which operated under the auspices of the Cambodian Development and Resource Institute (CDRI). With the encouragement and facilitation of CCCR, the participants agreed by consensus that they would continue to cooperate and network between themselves to support other people in the same field. Meetings and discussions followed, long after the course was over. Thereafter, the MACT project was formed and became a significant actor working on conflict resolution and peacebuiling in the Cambodian society.
